New Activity Based Office for the eHealth Agency

Marge Arkitekter was tasked with the design of a new office space for the eHealth Agency during their move to the old car palace, a unique office on St Eriksgatan. The space accommodates their 140 employees and 40 consultants.

The reception is meant to be open and inviting and works as a central administration for various clinics in the medical community. Here the visitors and staff are brought together and encouraged to interact. A coffee stand welcomes you and encourages casual meetings. Connected to reception are both large and small conference rooms where the agency conducts courses. An open staircase running through a large opening in the floor establishes clear contact between floors. A collection of crafted woodworks adorns the reception space in order to give a unique character of warm wooden texture and friendly rounded forms.

The eHealth agency’s most active and exciting spaces are clustered around the two courtyards which bring light and greenery into an intimate meeting spot. The heart of the office is the large kitchen space where the whole office can assemble next to the generous light of the courtyard gardens.

An intentional clustering of furniture is used to create an effective gradient between areas that hum with activity and the silent focus of private workspace. The intensity of interior colors fades with distance from the bright courtyard.
